Every new year brings brings different energies into a building. In feng shui we use temporary cures to balance the elements settling in each direction.
We remove the cures that we put in for 2022 and update them. For example, move the clock with the second hand or pendulum in the NW this year.

In China they may seal off doors where energy is negative and not use that part of a building for a whole year. In homes we don’t do that.
But you can add elements – water, metal or fire (red color) to rooms in certain directions.
